The Lakeland city clerk said Tuesday that she plans to ask commissioners to correct a vote that occurred on Monday about a new red-light camera contract.

Initially, City Clerk Kelly Koos said it was a 5-2 vote. But Koos said Commissioners Justin Troller, Keith Merritt and Howard Wiggs told her on Tuesday that they voted against the new contract, making it a 4-3 vote.

"Since the record at the end of the meeting did not reflect that vote, I will write the minutes according to the record and ask the Commission to correct the minutes at the next meeting," Koos wrote in an e-mail.

The Ledger had reported that only Troller and Merritt voted against the measure.
